Siriman Konate: MC Algiers sign young centre-forward from US Chaouia on free transfer

MC Algiers have completed the signing of centre-forward Siriman Konate from fellow Algerian side US Chaouia on a free transfer for the 2026-27 season.

Konate, 22, joins the Ligue 1 club after a year with US Chaouia, remaining in Algerian football as he makes the step to MC Algiers. The move was confirmed on 8 July 2026, with no transfer fee involved.

Born in El Biar on 12 February 2004, Konate represents both Algeria and Mali at national level and is listed primarily as a central attacker. His arrival adds a young, domestically developed forward to MC Algiers attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Before his spell at US Chaouia, Konate was on the books of CR Belouizdad at under-21 level. He left their youth ranks in July 2025 to join US Chaouia, gaining senior experience before securing his move into the top flight with MC Algiers.

Konates transfer continues a progression that has kept him within Algerian clubs throughout his career to date, moving from youth football at CR Belouizdad U21 to US Chaouia and now to MC Algiers in Ligue 1.

The forward is now registered as an MC Algiers player for the 2026-27 season following the completion of his free transfer from US Chaouia.
