Simeone calls Barcelona ‘the best’ after impressive start under Flick

Diego Simeone has described Barcelona as “the best” after their strong opening to the season, offering praise for the club’s performances under manager Hansi Flick.

Speaking to ESPN, the Atletico Madrid manager gave a concise assessment of Barcelona’s form, saying: “They are the best.”

The endorsement carries added weight because Simeone has extensive experience of facing Barcelona in domestic competitions and the UEFA Champions League. During his time in charge of Atletico Madrid, he has overseen numerous meetings with the Catalan side and achieved notable results against them on more than one occasion.
