Simba SC agree deal to sign Malian forward Ibrahim Doumbia

Tanzanian giants Simba SC are close to completing the signing of Malian forward Ibrahim Doumbia after reaching an agreement with the prolific striker.

The two parties have agreed on a one-year contract, with an option for the deal to be extended by a further two seasons, as Simba look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Doumbia arrives at the Dar es Salaam-based club following a remarkable season in Mali, where he established himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the league. The striker scored 21 goals last season, including 17 in league competition and four in cup matches, while also providing four assists.

His outstanding performances earned him several individual accolades, with Doumbia being crowned the league’s top scorer, named Player of the Season, and selected in the Best XI of the campaign.

The Malian forward is currently awaiting his visa approval before travelling to Dar es Salaam to undergo the final stages of the transfer process and officially join Simba SC.

The club is expected to complete the move once the necessary paperwork is finalised, with Doumbia set to add more firepower to Simba’s squad as they prepare for domestic and continental challenges.
