Sidney Govou, who aims to make a comeback to the highest level after overcoming a series of injuries, has returned to Lyon since October and is currently training with the team’s reserves. Rémy Garde, the coach of Olympique Lyonnais, addressed Govou’s situation in a press conference, stating that the former Gerland favorite has the freedom to decide how he wants to proceed.
“Sydney’s situation is pretty clear in my mind. I agreed that he would come back and take advantage of a certain number of facilities here, which he knows well. We both agreed that if he wanted to continue with the CFA group, he could do so. I gave him authorization to move forward, and today he has, in any case, his freedom,” explained Rémy Garde.
There are reports suggesting that Govou might join Chasselay in CFA, where he could reunite with Ludovic Giuly.
