Shandre Campbell: South African winger seals four-year move to Belgium’s KV Kortrijk

Young South African winger Shandre Campbell has signed a four-year contract with Belgian top-flight newcomers KV Kortrijk after leaving Club Brugge.

The 21-year-old, regarded as one of South Africa’s brightest attacking prospects in Europe, joins Kortrijk ahead of their return to the Belgian first division.

Kortrijk confirmed the deal in a statement and social media posts on Monday, unveiling Campbell in the club’s traditional red and white colours.

“We are very proud to welcome Shandre Campbell to KV Kortrijk,” the club’s Sporting Director Nils Vanneste said on the club’s official website.

“With Shandre we bring someone in the house who brings a lot of creativity, speed and depth. Despite his young age, he has already gained experience in 1A.

“We look forward to Shandre’s first minutes at the Guldensporen Stadium.”
