Shandre Campbell: South African Club Brugge winger linked with KV Kortrijk move
South African winger Shandre Campbell of Club Brugge is attracting interest from Jupiler Pro League rivals KV Kortrijk in a potential summer move. The 21-year-old left-sided attacker is under contract with Brugge until 30 June 2027 but has emerged as a candidate for Kortrijk as they look to strengthen their options out wide.
Campbell joined Club Brugge in February 2025 from their second team, Club NXT, having initially arrived in Belgium from SuperSport United. He has since broken into the first-team set-up, featuring in the Jupiler Pro League and making appearances in the UEFA Champions League as part of a Brugge side competing on multiple fronts.
The Johannesburg-born winger has a listed market value of €1 million, a figure that is likely to shape any negotiations between the two Belgian clubs. Brugge, who secured the league title in the 2025-26 season, would be weighing the prospect of a fee now against keeping a young wide player tied down for another year under his current deal.
Campbell’s most productive spell to date in Belgium came with Club NXT in the Challenger Pro League, where he scored 11 goals in 25 appearances, form that accelerated his promotion to the senior squad. He also contributed to Brugge’s domestic success, including a Belgian Cup win in 2025.
While no agreement has yet been reached, Campbell remains a Club Brugge player with a year left on his contract, leaving the Belgian champions in a strong position as KV Kortrijk assess whether to formalise their interest.
