Shakhtar Donetsk have completed the signing of Tunisian center-back Alaa Ghram from CS Sfaxien for a fee of 2 million Euros, AfricaSoccer.com can confirm

The Ukrainian giants have bolstered their defence with the addition of the talented 23-year-old, who has already made a name for himself in the Tunisian league.

Ghram’s move to Shakhtar Donetsk marks a significant milestone in his career, as he makes the leap to European football.

The young defender has shown great promise with his impressive performances for Sfaxien, earning him a call-up to the Tunisian national team.

The highly-rated defender made 16 appearances in the Tunisian Ligue 1 in the 2023-24 season, scoring four times across the period.

Shakhtar’s signing of Ghram demonstrates their commitment to strengthening their squad ahead of the new season.

The Ukrainian club has a reputation for developing talented players, and Ghram will undoubtedly benefit from their expertise.

With this transfer, Shakhtar aims to reinforce their defence and make a strong push in European competitions.

Ghram was previously linked with a move to Russian giants CSKA Moscow, but the deal couldn’t materialise ahead of the winter transfer window in December.
