Sevilla eye move forward Ansu Fati amid uncertain Barcelona future
Spanish side Sevilla FC are reportedly exploring a move for Barcelona forward Ansu Fati as the club begins planning a major squad rebuild following a disappointing season.
Fati, who spent the previous campaign on loan at AS Monaco, saw a return to form after falling out of favour at FC Barcelona. His performances in France have reportedly reopened interest in his services across Europe ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old forward, who has Guinea-Bissau roots is under contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2028, but his long-term future remains uncertain. While his loan spell at Monaco was considered productive, the French club has yet to confirm whether it will activate a reported €11 million purchase option.
According to reports, Sevilla are now positioning themselves as serious contenders for the winger’s signature, viewing him as a key addition in their plans to strengthen the squad after a difficult campaign.
Fati is expected to attract multiple offers in the coming weeks, with several clubs closely monitoring his situation as Barcelona weigh up their options regarding his future.
During his loan spell at Monaco, Fati made 30 appearances across all competitions, scoring 12 goals—a return that has helped restore his reputation after a challenging spell in Catalonia.
With interest growing and Barcelona yet to make a final decision, the coming weeks are expected to be decisive in determining whether Fati remains at the Camp Nou or embarks on a new chapter elsewhere in Europe.
