Ahead of the tournament in Egypt, Desmond Ofei has highlighted the possibilities of producing several top stars at the end of the competition in the North African country.
“We have talent across all positions — defenders, midfielders, attackers. I’d prefer not to single out individuals now, but I believe several of our players will emerge as names to remember by the end of this competition” he told CAF media in an interview.
The West African powerhouse has a rich history at the continental tournament, winning four AFCON titles and a historic FIFA U-20 World Cup title back in 2009.
The Black Satellites arrive in Egypt with a huge legacy and expectations considering their exploits in previous tournament.

Ghana is brimming with confidence ahead of the much-anticipated tournament to be staged in the North African country.
The top two teams from each group, plus the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals.
The tournament is set to kick off on Sunday, April 27, 2025, and will conclude with the final on May 18, 2025.
The stakes are high. Not only is continental supremacy on the line, but the top four finishers will secure their ticket to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile — a stage where Ghana has previously etched its name in history as the only African team to lift the trophy.
