Servette FC defender Lilian Njoh has declared his intention to represent Cameroon at the international level ahead of the 2026 World Cup tournament.
Despite being eligible to feature for France, the highly-rated left-back has opted to play for the Indomitable Lions, coming as a good news for the African giants.
The 24-year-old defender has Cameroonian roots through his farther and intend to defend the colours of the Indomitable Lions.
Njoh proudly proclaims his attachment to his father’s country, which he visits regularly. “I am attached to Cameroon because my father is Cameroonian. I’ve been going there every year since I was born”
“It’s true that I hope to be selected for the Indomitable Lions. It’s a team I’ve supported since I was a child. Selection is the Holy Grail, so to speak. It’s a personal goal of mine to be selected. Any contact with the federation? No, none whatsoever,” said Lillian Njoh.
The enterprising defender has been outstanding for Servette FC this season, making 21 appearances in the Swiss top-flight and delivering seven assists across the period.
Lilian Njoh joined Servette in summer 2025, with his current contract expiring in summer 2027.
