In the opening match of the 35th day of Serie A, Roma secured a significant victory against AC Milan with a score of 2-0 on Friday. Facing a lackluster Milan side, Roma, led by the Ivorian Gervinho who scored the second goal, extended their winning streak to 9 consecutive victories in Serie A. This victory also halted Milan’s streak of 5 consecutive wins.
Off the pitch, Mario Balotelli, known for his fiery temperament, made headlines once again. The Italian striker, of Ghanaian origin, is notorious for his volatile nature, and any criticism tends to provoke strong reactions from him. Balotelli was visibly frustrated during the match and lashed out at Giancarlo Marocchi, a former footballer turned consultant, who had criticized him for his lack of running on the field.
In a heated exchange, Balotelli retorted, “You don’t know anything about football,” to Marocchi. He further targeted Zvonimir Boban, another former Milan player and current Sky consultant, stating, “I don’t need your criticism. I think I’m a normal player, not a Fuoriclasse,” after Boban had also criticized his performance.
