Serhou Guirassy is staying in Dortmund, and not even a fortune could change his mind.
The Guinean forward, freshly nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, turned down a big-money move to Saudi Arabia this summer, choosing instead to commit to Borussia Dortmund after just one season with the club.
Sky reporter Patrick Berger revealed that Saudi giants Al-Hilal were eager to land Guirassy and made a tempting offer to lure him away. But the 29-year-old never hesitated. He reportedly dismissed the deal outright, showing a rare devotion to his current team over the appeal of a massive payday.
His decision comes at a time when many top players are heading to Saudi Arabia for eye-watering contracts. Yet Guirassy, who impressed in his debut season at Dortmund, made it clear he wants to keep growing with the German side.
The striker is now back in training and focused on helping Dortmund chase silverware in the new season.
