Serhou Guirassy expected to leave Dortmund this summer
Serhou Guirassy has a contract at Borussia Dortmund until 2028, but Sky experts now expect the Guinean striker to leave this summer.
On the Sky podcast “Auffe Süd”, Patrick Berger said he expects “that Guirassy will get an even better contract elsewhere and say: Then I’ll just go there”. Berger believes “that Guirassy is not entirely satisfied with his situation. He’s not happy with the style of play under the coach, even though he has a good relationship with him and the coach has always protected him”.
Jesco von Eichmann agrees: “I think he’s leaving. That’s my interpretation based on what I’ve experienced from him recently.”
Dortmund sporting director Nils-Ole Book recently said: “It’s not our plan and not our premise to say that we want to let him go.” But he did not shut the door completely: “If extraordinary offers come in, we will consider them.”
The striker’s unhappiness with the tactical setup, combined with interest from clubs able to offer more money, points strongly toward a summer exit despite his long-term deal.
