Serhou Guirassy has no intention of leaving Borussia Dortmund anytime soon, despite a hefty release clause in his contract, according to fresh reports from Bild.
The Guinean striker is reportedly settled at the Bundesliga club and has told key figures, Lars Ricken, Sebastian Kehl, and coach Niko Kovac, that he feels valued and motivated. The emotional pull of the Signal Iduna Park and the support of the fans have made a strong impact on him.
Guirassy, who joined Dortmund in July 2024 on a four-year deal for €18 million, is fast becoming a central figure in the squad. He opened his scoring account just two months later with a cool penalty in a 3–0 Champions League win over Club Brugge.
Now 29, he’s also stepped up as a leader within the team. While Bild points out that his contract includes a €60-75 million clause for elite clubs after the 2025 Club World Cup, Guirassy isn’t pushing for a move. For now, his heart, and future, seem firmly tied to Dortmund.
