Unusual Penalty Attempt Sparks Laughter in Serbian League
A bizarre penalty kick attempt in the Serbian league has caught the attention of football fans worldwide — though it’s certainly not one to emulate in training.
During a match between Čukarički and Radnički, Čukarički’s 36-year-old forward Nenad Mirosavljević stepped up to take a penalty. The former Partizan Belgrade player aimed to open the scoring for his side, but what followed was a penalty unlike any other.
Instead of striking the ball decisively, Mirosavljević appeared to completely lose track of it. His hesitation and lack of contact left the ball barely moved, resulting in an awkward and lengthy moment on the pitch — a penalty kick widely regarded as one of the worst of the year.
The unusual attempt has since gone viral among football fans, serving as a reminder that even professionals can have their off moments.
