Senegalese left-back Cheikh Koite joins RSCA Futures from Bourg-en-Bresse

Senegalese defender Cheikh Koite has joined RSCA Futures from French club Bourg-en-Bresse, completing a move to Belgium on 10 August 2026.

The 21-year-old left-back has signed a contract with RSCA Futures that runs until 30 June 2028. The move takes him from France’s Ligue 3 to Belgium’s Challenger Pro League, marking a change of competition and country for the Senegal international.

Koite’s transfer brings him to a club competing in Belgium’s second tier after his spell with Bourg-en-Bresse. He was registered as a Bourg-en-Bresse player before switching to RSCA Futures, with the Belgian side now listed as his current club.

The defender was born on 25 October 2004 and represents Senegal at international level. His preferred position is left-back, giving RSCA Futures a player whose primary role is in defence on the left side.

Koite joins the Belgian club at the age of 21 and has agreed terms through the end of the 2027-28 season. His arrival was recorded on 10 August, with the contract extending for almost two further years beyond the date of the transfer.

The move also represents a step from the French league structure into Belgian football for a player who remains at an early stage of his senior career. Koite’s previous club, Bourg-en-Bresse, competes in Ligue 3, while RSCA Futures operates in the Challenger Pro League.

No transfer fee has been attached to the move, and the financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. The deal is instead defined by the change in club and country, with Koite now contracted to the Belgian side until June 2028.

RSCA Futures have therefore added a Senegalese left-back to their squad, while Koite leaves Bourg-en-Bresse after his time in France’s Ligue 3. His registration with the Belgian club takes effect from 10 August 2026, completing the move to RSCA Futures.
