Senegalese defender Fodé Ballo-Touré seals FC Metz move

Senegalese international Fodé Ballo-Touré has completed his move to French outfit FC Metz.

The defender has signed a one-year contract with the side and will be hoping to impress to merit an extension at the end of the 2025/26 football season.

“FC Metz has a new addition to its ranks. This Wednesday, the Grenats reached an agreement with Fodé Ballo-Touré. A free agent since last summer, the defender has signed a one-year contract with an option for another season. He is therefore tied to the club with the Cross of Lorraine until June 2026,” the French club announced in an official statement.

Fodé Ballo-Touré has joined Metz as an experienced player with 118 appearances in the French top flight.

Last season, he was still playing in Ligue 1 for Le Havre, where he appeared ten times.

The 28-year-old has 16 caps with the Teranga Lions of Senegal and is a CAN winner.

Speaking in his first interview, Fodé Ballo-Touré said he is happy and hopes to make an impact at the club.
