Senegalese defender Aliou Thiare linked with Univ. Craiova transfer from Dynamo Kyiv

Senegalese centre-back Aliou Thiare is being linked with a move from Dynamo Kyiv to Romanian side Univ. Craiova.

The 22-year-old defender joined Dynamo Kyiv from Le Havre AC for €1m in September 2025 and remains under contract with the Ukrainian club until 30 June 2029. Any move would therefore involve a transfer fee unless an agreement is reached to alter his current deal.

Thiare has made one appearance in Europa League qualifying this season, featuring in one of Dynamo Kyiv’s four possible games. He did not score or provide an assist in that outing.

The 1.94m defender was part of the Dynamo Kyiv squad that won the Ukrainian Cup in the 2025-26 season, his most recent honour since arriving in Ukraine. He had previously spent time on loan at AS Nancy from Le Havre during the 2024-25 campaign before returning to France and completing his move to Dynamo.

Thiare began his senior development with Le Havre’s reserve side after progressing through Diambars FC’s youth system in Senegal. His market value is listed at €1m, matching the fee Dynamo paid for him last year.

The reported interest comes with Thiare still tied to Dynamo Kyiv for three more seasons, and the rumour remains unconfirmed.
