Senegal youngster Yaya Dieme joins Strasbourg on four-and-half-year deal
Senegal teenage sensation Yaya Dieme has completed a move to French Ligue 1 outfit join RC Strasbourg, marking a significant step in his career.
The 18-year-old penned a four-and-half-year deal and is expected to officially join the French Ligue 1 in January 2026.
Yaya Dieme, who participated in the last U20 Africa Cup of Nations is embarking on an important stage of his career. He joins Strasbourg from ASC Diambars and is expected to continue his development in the European.
When Yaya Diémé arrives in France at the beginning of 2026, he will join the Alsatian team managed by Liam Rosenior.
The 18-year-old, who came up through the Diambars youth system in Saly, will complete a one-month trial at Chelsea as part of the BlueCo project, the owner of both the London club and RC Strasbourg. This period will allow him to gradually prepare for European football and facilitate his adaptation.
Yaya Dieme will thus follow the path of several young players sent from Chelsea to Strasbourg, including his compatriot Pape Daouda Diongue, in order to gain experience in France before playing at the highest level.
