Senegal will step up their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with a two-legged international friendly against the Egypt later this month.

The fixtures form part of the Lionesses’ build-up to the continental showpiece, which will be staged in Morocco from 25 July to 16 August 2026. Both matches are designed to give Senegal a competitive test ahead of the tournament as they fine-tune tactics, squad cohesion, and match readiness.

The first leg will be played on 8 July 2026 in Cairo, with the return fixture scheduled for 11 July. Both encounters will take place at the EFA Teams Centre, with kick-off set for 5 pm GMT.

The double-header offers Senegal a valuable opportunity to assess their level against North African opposition in match conditions that closely mirror tournament intensity. For the coaching staff, the games will serve as a key evaluation platform to finalise combinations and identify the most effective tactical approach ahead of WAFCON.
