Senegal’s U20 national team arrived in Egypt on Monday morning, determined to defend their continental crown at the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, taking place from April 27 to May 18.
The reigning champions return to the country where they lifted their first-ever U20 AFCON title in 2023.
This year, the team is placed in Group C alongside the Central African Republic, DR Congo, and Ghana, setting the stage for a competitive campaign.
Led by Abdou Aziz Fall, the Senegalese squad will begin their tournament on Friday, May 2, facing off against the Central African Republic at 3:00 p.m.
The match will be crucial in setting the tone for their title defense.
Following that, Senegal will take on Ghana on Monday, May 5, at 6:00 p.m., before concluding their group stage with a clash against DR Congo on Thursday, May 8, at 3:00 p.m.
With their eyes on back-to-back championships, the Lion Cubs aim to replicate the form and resilience that brought them continental glory two years ago.
