A few days before the start of the Senegalese football championship, Augustin Senghor, the president of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), is seeking reconciliation with the referees. The referees had previously decided not to officiate any Senegal matches. Senghor expressed his readiness to discuss with the Central Commission of Referees (CCA) to find a solution in the interest of the entire football community. The president emphasized the importance of understanding and collaboration among all football stakeholders and clarified that there is no intention to exclude the CCA from the football family. The conflict arose in October after Senegal’s elimination from CAN 2013, leading referees to demand Senghor’s resignation before agreeing to officiate Senegal’s matches.
