Habib Diallo returns to full training with FC Metz after several days of doubt surrounding a hamstring injury that kept him out of recent matches.

The Senegalese forward suffered the setback during Metz’s clash with Nice, a game in which he scored the decisive goal before feeling pain in his left thigh.

Despite the discomfort, Diallo still travelled to join Senegal for the international window that featured fixtures against Brazil and Kenya.

His condition, however, did not improve, and the national team staff released him so he could continue treatment at his club.

The injury forced Diallo to miss Metz’s Ligue 1 outings in rounds 13 and 14, both of which ended in defeat.

His absence exposed the team’s difficulties in attack and added pressure on a squad already seeking stability in a challenging campaign.

Metz now welcomes his return at a critical moment as they attempt to reverse their recent form.

Diallo’s comeback also boosts his hopes of earning a place in Senegal’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

The striker wants to find rhythm quickly, regain sharpness, and show that he remains an important option for the national side as the tournament approaches.

Metz view his return as a timely lift. The club needs goals, leadership, and confidence, and Diallo’s presence offers all three when he performs at his best.

His return to training signals progress, and both Metz and Senegal will monitor his condition closely as he works towards full match fitness.
