Ismaïla Sarr set to join Liverpool

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Senegal international Ismaïla Sarr over personal terms as the Premier League champions step up their efforts to sign the Crystal Palace winger.

The Reds are believed to be pushing ahead with negotiations after seeing an initial £50 million offer rejected by Palace earlier this week.

Despite the setback, Liverpool remain determined to secure Sarr’s signature and are preparing to return with an improved proposal in an attempt to convince Crystal Palace to sanction the transfer.

According to reports, Liverpool have made significant progress on the player’s side, with Sarr giving the green light to a move to Anfield.

The Senegalese forward had previously attracted interest from clubs including Galatasaray and Al-Ittihad, but approaches from both sides were reportedly rejected as Sarr prioritised a move to Liverpool.

Negotiations between Liverpool and Crystal Palace are now continuing, with the Merseyside club expected to submit an improved bid in the coming hours.

Sarr’s desire to leave Selhurst Park has also been reflected in his involvement at the start of the new campaign. The 28-year-old has not featured in either of Palace’s opening two matches of the season as speculation surrounding his future continues to intensify.

Liverpool are now hoping their next offer will be enough to break Palace’s resistance and bring the Senegal international to Anfield before the transfer window closes.
