Senegal’s interim coach, Mayacine Mar, faces challenges as six players withdraw from the friendly match against Niger scheduled for November 14. The players, including Lamine Sané, Cheikh Mbengue, Pape Ndiaye Souaré, Idrissa Gana Guèye, Issiar Dia, and Demba Bâ, have cited various reasons such as injuries, busy schedules, and poor form for their absence. The group is reduced to 17 players, and more defections are not ruled out. Senegal aims to regroup and prepare for future challenges after their elimination from the CAN 2013 by Ivory Coast on October 13.
