The extension of Senegalese player Papy Mison Djilobodj’s contract with FC Nantes has sparked controversy with his former club, AS Saloum, in Senegal’s Ligue 2. According to reports, AS Saloum claims not to have received any benefits from Djilobodji’s transfer to France, and they express disappointment over not benefiting from the financial aspects of the deal. The president of AS Saloum believes that the funds from the transfer could have significantly aided the club in its upcoming season, which begins on January 12, 2013. Djilobodji joined Nantes in 2010 and has since become a key player for the French club.
