Pape Matar Sarr to join Juventus

Senegal international Pape Matar Sarr has reportedly agreed personal terms with Juventus as he pushes for a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

According to reports, the 23-year-old midfielder has reached an agreement with the Italian giants over personal terms and is keen to make the move to Turin.

Juventus have identified Sarr as a player they would like to add to their midfield options, and the Senegalese international is understood to be enthusiastic about the prospect of continuing his career in Serie A.

However, an agreement between the player and Juventus is only one part of the proposed transfer. The two clubs must now find common ground over the structure of the deal before the move can be completed.

A loan arrangement with a purchase clause is currently being discussed, although Tottenham are reportedly pushing for the deal to include a conditional obligation to buy. Negotiations between Juventus and Spurs are therefore expected to continue as both sides work towards reaching an agreement.

Sarr joined Tottenham from French club FC Metz in August 2021 and has gradually established himself as an important member of the squad during his time in North London.

The midfielder has made 141 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions, contributing 11 goals and 11 assists during his spell at the club.

At international level, Sarr has also become an important player for Senegal, gaining valuable experience with the national team.

With personal terms already agreed, attention now turns to negotiations between Tottenham and Juventus. If the two clubs can settle the transfer structure, Sarr could be on his way to Turin for a new chapter in his career.
