Midfielder Elimane Oumar Cissé has completed a move to Teungueth FC, sealing a return to Senegalese football after his stint abroad.
The signing marks a homecoming for the 30-year-old, who recently featured in the Canadian Premier League with Forge FC. Cissé is set to spend the second half of the season with Teungueth FC of Rufisque, competing in Senegal’s top flight, as the club looks to bolster its squad for the remainder of the campaign.
Teungueth FC officially confirmed the arrival of the experienced midfielder on Friday, 6 February 2026. While the club did not disclose the length or financial details of his contract, it highlighted Cissé’s background and pedigree in a statement announcing the deal.
“Trained at Diambars, Elimane Oumar Cissé joins Teungueth FC after leaving Forge FC (Canadian Division One),” the club said.
Cissé brings with him a wealth of experience and a winning mentality, having been part of Senegal’s local national team that lifted the African Nations Championship (CHAN) trophy in 2023. His addition is expected to significantly strengthen Teungueth FC’s midfield options as they push for their objectives in the second half of the season.
Renowned for his creativity, vision and ability to control the rhythm of play, Cissé is regarded as a playmaker who can both orchestrate attacks and contribute goals from midfield. Teungueth FC expressed confidence that his qualities will have an immediate impact.
“An outstanding playmaker with a keen eye for goal, Elimane often dictates the tempo of a match. We welcome him to Teungueth FC,” the club added.
