Invited by the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Ya Konan traveled to Casablanca to support his teammates during the return match against Senegal. Ivory Coast, leading 3-1 from the first leg, aims to secure its place in the World Cup. Ya Konan expressed his belief that Ivory Coast has the necessary qualities to overcome Senegal and emphasized the team’s duty to maintain its status as the top African nation in the FIFA rankings. A bonus of 9 million CFA francs is promised to each Ivorian player in the event of qualification.
