The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has decided to take legal action by filing a complaint against X (unidentified individuals) regarding the incidents that occurred during the Senegal-Côte d’Ivoire match. The president of the FSF, Me Augustin Senghor, stated that the federation wants light to be shed on the regrettable incidents and is motivated by the fact that the Senegalese national team bus was allegedly blocked twice on the way to the stadium by a convoy believed to belong to Leeds striker El Hadji Diouf. The FSF believes that individuals were at the stadium with the intention of causing trouble rather than supporting the team. The incidents during the match led to its interruption in the 74th minute with the Ivory Coast leading 2-0. The FSF has submitted a detailed report on the incidents to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
