Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye cleared to face Fulham after injury scare
Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed that forward Iliman Ndiaye is fit to feature against Fulham this Saturday after the Senegal international was forced off during Monday’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland.
Ndiaye, who has been one of Everton’s standout performers this season, left the pitch shortly after the hour mark at Goodison Park, sparking concerns about his availability ahead of the weekend’s Premier League fixture.
However, Moyes reassured supporters that the 25-year-old has recovered in time for the trip to Craven Cottage.
“He’s doing well. He trained today (Friday), so I hope everything will be alright,” Moyes told reporters during Friday’s press conference.
The winger, who has scored four goals and registered one assist in 12 appearances this season, has quickly established himself as a key figure in Moyes’ attacking setup.
His pace, technical ability, and goal-scoring instinct have added a new dimension to Everton’s forward play, and his presence will be vital as the Toffees look to climb the table.
Ndiaye’s inclusion also provides a timely boost for the Senegalese national team.
Head coach Pape Thiaw is expected to include him in the squad for upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Kenya, scheduled for 15 and 18 November in London and Antalya respectively.
The news of his fitness will be particularly welcome for Senegal, who view Ndiaye as one of their most dynamic attacking talents ahead of next year’s continental competitions.
The forward’s influence was evident earlier in the week when he produced a moment of brilliance against Sunderland, scoring a stunning goal that showcased his creativity and composure in front of goal.
His withdrawal later in the match raised fears of a potential injury setback, but those concerns have now been eased.
For Moyes, Ndiaye’s availability comes at a crucial moment as Everton prepare for a demanding stretch of fixtures.
With the team seeking consistency in performance and results, the manager will be counting on his key attackers to deliver against a Fulham side that has shown resilience at home.
Saturday’s match offers Everton an opportunity to build momentum, and Ndiaye’s return ensures they will have one of their most influential players available as they chase an important away victory.
“He’s fine, he’s trained today so hopefully everything’s okay.”
