Mbaye Niang, who had previously played in the French youth teams, has decided to represent his country of origin, Senegal. The AC Milan player is included in the list of players chosen by French coach Alain Giresse to face Zambia as part of FIFA Day on August 14.
Giresse revealed that there was a process to bring Niang into the national team, and after discussions, the player responded favorably. This marks Niang’s commitment to play for Senegal, and he is expected to make his debut against Zambia in the upcoming match.
