Senegalese international, Mbaye Niang, is reportedly on the verge of leaving Wydad Casablanca, signalling a potential return to Europe after a brief stint with the African football giants.
The forward, who joined Wydad Casablanca in September after leaving Empoli, signed a contract that was set to run until June 2025.
However, just three months into his tenure with the Moroccan club, Niang is expected to terminate his contract in the coming days, according to reports gathered from sources.
Mbaye Niang’s time at Wydad Casablanca has been relatively short, featuring in eight matches and netting two goals. Despite his contributions, the former AC Milan player appears ready to seek new opportunities back in Europe.
The 28-year-old striker’s decision comes as a surprise to many, given his initial intent to relaunch his career with Wydad.
As Niang prepares for a potential departure, speculation about his next destination in European football is already underway.
