Senegal defender Malang Sarr joins Saudi Pro League Side Neom SC on free transfer

Senegalese defender Malang Sarr has completed a move to Saudi Pro League newcomers Neom SC, after leaving French Ligue 1 side RC Lens.

The 27-year-old arrives at the ambitious Saudi club as a free agent, opting to continue his career in the Middle East despite attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.

Sarr becomes the latest established European-based player to make the switch to the Saudi Pro League, a competition that has continued to attract high-profile talent as clubs strengthen their squads with experienced internationals.

The Senegal international joins Neom SC after an encouraging campaign with RC Lens, where his solid defensive displays helped re-establish his reputation following previous spells across some of Europe’s top leagues.
