Aliou Cissé to Reveal Lions’ Roadmap at Senegal Press Club
Back from a long European scouting trip, Aliou Cissé, the new coach of the Senegal national team, will be the guest of the Senegalese national sports press association this Friday during a special “Press Club” session. The event will be held at the Maison de la Presse in Dakar.
This first official meeting with the sports media will allow Cissé to unveil his strategic project for the Lions, just as the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are set to begin. Senegal finds itself in Group K alongside Niger, Burundi, and Namibia.
Cissé is expected to:
-
Outline his vision for the national team.
-
Share insights from his recent European tour, where he met with Senegalese players across various leagues.
-
Discuss his approach toward integrating dual nationals or new players into the national setup.
-
Address any challenges or hesitations he encountered during his recruitment efforts.
The “Press Club” is a platform for open dialogue between sports journalists and key figures in Senegalese sports. Previous guests include Pape Diouf, former president of Olympique de Marseille, Lamine Diack, and former sports ministers.
This appearance marks a critical first public step for Cissé as he sets the tone for a new era in Senegalese football leadership.
