Senegal U-17 won the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations final after defeating Tanzania U-17 4–2 on penalties following a thrilling 1–1 draw.

The match, played on June 2, 2026, saw Tanzania take an early lead through Hamis Mihambo in the 7th minute, assisted by Luqman Mbalasalu. Senegal fought back and equalized in the 64th minute when Ibrahima Dione found the net.

The game featured intense physical play with multiple yellow cards, including Issa Mussa Chole and Emile Sadio for unsporting behaviour at the 80th minute, plus Razaki Juma Mbegelendi booked for time wasting in the 89th minute.
