Çorum FK enter race to sign Senegal international Alpha Touré
Senegal midfielder Alpha Touré has emerged as a transfer target for Turkish side Çorum FK, with the newly promoted Süper Lig club beginning efforts to secure his signature from FC Metz ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Çorum FK have identified the 20-year-old as a priority addition to strengthen their midfield and have already taken initial steps towards a possible transfer.
The Turkish club, which earned promotion to the Süper Lig at the end of last season, has appointed FIFA-licensed agent Prosper Uwizeye to establish contact with both the player and FC Metz as discussions begin.
At this stage, however, negotiations remain in their early phases.
No formal offer has yet been submitted, and the talks do not represent a contractual agreement or any legally binding commitment between the parties involved.
Despite that, Çorum FK’s interest underlines the growing demand for the Senegalese midfielder, whose performances have attracted attention from clubs across Europe and beyond.
A product of Senegal’s renowned Génération Foot academy, Touré remains under contract with FC Metz until June 2028.
The defensive midfielder enjoyed an impressive campaign, making 32 Ligue 1 appearances and establishing himself as an important member of the French club’s squad.
His performances have not gone unnoticed during the current transfer window.
In recent months, Premier League side West Ham and Turkish giants Beşiktaş have both been linked with the young midfielder.
More recently, Saudi Arabian club Al-Diraiyah also entered the race for his signature.
Reports indicate that FC Metz accepted an offer worth around €7 million from the Saudi club.
However, although the clubs are understood to have reached an agreement, a final deal has not yet been completed because the player has not reached personal terms.
The emergence of Çorum FK adds another club to the growing list of teams hoping to secure Touré’s services before the transfer window closes.
The Turkish side appear determined to strengthen their squad following promotion and believe the Senegal international could play a key role in their midfield.
While negotiations remain at an early stage, the level of interest surrounding Touré suggests his future will continue to be one of the transfer stories to watch in the coming weeks.
With several clubs still monitoring the situation and no agreement yet finalised, the FC Metz midfielder’s next destination remains uncertain as competition for his signature continues to intensify.
