SENEGAL: ALIOU CISSÉ CALLS UP 28 PLAYERS UNDER 20
In preparation for Senegal’s participation in the seventh edition of the Francophonie Games, Aliou Cissé, the coach of the national under-20 team and former captain of the Lions in 2002, has called up 28 players. With the exception of Seydou Sy from the AC Milan training center in Italy, all the pre-selected players come from various training centers in Senegal and the youth categories of Ligue 1 clubs.
The primary objective is to form a cohesive team before September, ultimately selecting the best 23 players capable of representing Senegal with distinction in the competition among French-speaking countries in Nice. The Francophonie Games will feature football teams from countries such as France, Canada, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ivory Coast, Gabon, Haiti, Lebanon, Morocco, Niger, Rwanda, and Chad.
