The Senegalese Football Federation has broken its silence. While information has been circulating for several days indicating that each Senegalese player will receive 131 million CFA francs (199,700 euros) in the event of a final victory at the next Africa Cup of Nations, the governing body of Senegalese football denies this.
“It’s all false. The amount of the bonuses will be closer to those for the 2017 AFCON ,” said Augustin Senghor, president of the FSF, to So Foot.
This helps to better understand the fans of the Lions of Teranga and especially those who believe that giving 131 million to each player is excessive.
