Casa Sport de Ziguinchor won the fifth edition of the Senegal Football League Cup, defeating Union Sportif de Gorée after a penalty shootout (4-1). The final, held at the Demba Diop stadium in Dakar, was a closely contested match, and after a goalless 90 minutes and two additional 15-minute periods, the teams remained tied. The penalty shootout saw Casa Sport emerge victorious, with their players displaying composure, while US Gorée struggled to score. Casa Sport secured their second League Cup title, having previously won in 2010 and 2013. They also earned a place in the Senegal Cup final, scheduled for the following Sunday. The winning team received a prize of 20 million FCFA, while the runners-up, US Gorée, received 10 million FCFA.
