Hervé Renard, previously rumored to be the future coach of Morocco, now seems to be reconsidering this option. Currently coaching Sochaux, a club he aims to keep in Ligue 1 this season, Renard expressed his preference for continuing his career in Europe in the coming months.
In an interview with the BBC, Renard stated, “For the moment, I am in France, and my priority is to stay in Europe, either with Sochaux or by moving to a better club.” He emphasized his focus on his current mission and suggested that his future whereabouts would become clearer in the next month.
This decision comes after Marcelo Bielsa, who was also linked with the Morocco national team coaching position, expressed his preference for the Marseille job. Renard’s potential appointment as coach of the Atlas Lions now seems uncertain.
