Seif Gaafar leaves Zamalek as Egypt midfielder becomes unattached

Egyptian midfielder Seif Gaafar has completed his departure from Zamalek and is now without a club, bringing his time with the Egyptian side to an end.

Gaafar, 26, plays in central midfield and is 1.78m tall. The right-footed player made the move away from Zamalek on 10 August 2026. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the switch.

The Egypt international has been part of a successful period at Zamalek, winning three Egyptian league titles during his time at the club. Those championships came in the 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2025-26 seasons.

Gaafar also helped Zamalek win the Egyptian Cup twice, in 2020-21 and 2024-25. His latest league success came in the 2025-26 campaign, before his departure was completed.

The midfielder’s exit leaves him available as a free agent, although the move has not been described as a permanent transfer to another club. His next destination and the terms of any future contract have not been established.

Gaafar’s departure marks the end of his association with Zamalek, where he collected five major domestic honours across league and cup competitions. He is now officially without a club following the completed move.
