Zamalek’s summer shake-up is gaining momentum, with Seif El-Jaziri and Mustafa El-Zanari emerging as headline names likely to leave the squad ahead of the new season.
The Cairo giants are preparing a trimmed squad under a tight financial strategy, and several players are being lined up for permanent or loan exits.
An inside source confirmed to Kooora, “There is a list of players leaving Zamalek, and the names have been decided upon, but the club’s board of directors does not want the players to leave for free.”
“The latest update on the list of players leaving permanently or on loan includes Ahmed Refaei, Hazem Osama, Ahmed Abdel Rahim Eshou, Hossam Ashraf, Mahab Yasser, Mohamed Atef, Seif El-Jaziri, Mustafa El-Zanari, and Ahmed Hossam.
“Ahmed Refaei was not included in Zamalek’s preliminary roster, while the remaining players have been confirmed and are awaiting a final decision on their fate.
“The names threatened with departure are linked to the need to compensate them during the transfer period, or their departure for a financial consideration or entering into exchange deals.”
