Togo’s Prince Ségbefia Joins Turkish Side Elazigspor
Togolese international Prince Ségbefia has embarked on a new chapter in his footballing journey, signing a three-year contract with Elazigspor, a club competing in Turkey’s second division.
At 24 years old, the midfielder arrives as a free agent and brings with him experience across multiple leagues in Europe. This move marks Ségbefia’s fifth professional league, highlighting a career that has taken him from West Africa to the Middle East and across Europe.
Though he never featured in Togo’s top flight, Ségbefia was developed at a youth academy in Lomé, before earning an opportunity with Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, where he played for the reserve side. His talents caught attention back home, and with the help of Francis Taddeo, he secured a move to AJ Auxerre in France in 2010, initially joining the under-19 squad.
A year later, he signed his first professional contract with the Ligue 1 club and was promoted to the first team. After a few seasons in France, Ségbefia transferred to Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine in July 2014. His spell there lasted just one season, paving the way for this latest move to Turkey.
Known for his technical skills and versatility in midfield, Ségbefia will be hoping to make a strong impact in Turkey as he continues to build his career on the European stage.
