Sebastien Haller could return to Ivory Coast squad for November internationals

Sebastien Haller is being considered for a return to the Ivory Coast squad, with coach Herve Renard reportedly weighing up a recall for the November international window.

The Elephants’ coaching staff are understood to be concerned by the performances of Ange-Yoan Bonny, Elye Wahi and Rayan Fofana. They want to add experience and greater effectiveness to the attack, with Haller viewed as a potential solution.

Haller was a key figure in Ivory Coast’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations triumph and is reportedly ready to answer the call again. The former Borussia Dortmund striker has regained his form and confidence in Japan and is said to have made himself available for a return to the national team.

Several sources indicate that the move could be confirmed shortly. Renard is expected to decide whether to include Haller in his squad when the next list of call-ups is announced for the November international break.
