Schalke coach Miron Muslic backs Bryan Lasme to finally break through in the Bundesliga

Bryan Lasme’s impressive pre-season with Schalke has strengthened belief inside the club that he can finally make a real impact in the Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old forward underlined his form in a 2-0 friendly win over FC Kharkiv, scoring his second goal in three warm-up matches and continuing a strong preparation campaign.

According to WAZ, head coach Miron Muslic sees huge potential in the lightning-fast attacker, whose top speed is reportedly an eye-catching 36.39 km/h.

“Bryan has a weapon that can also explode in the Bundesliga,” the Schalke boss explained, highlighting how his pace can change games at the highest level. The coaching staff believe that, used correctly, his speed and direct running could become a major asset against top-flight defences.

The biggest obstacle remains his fitness record. During last season’s promotion campaign, Lasme missed 21 league matches through injury and was limited to just 12 substitute appearances. Schalke therefore see a largely injury-free year as the key to unlocking his potential and giving him the consistency needed to establish himself.

If he can stay fit, Muslic is confident Lasme has everything required to become a decisive weapon from the bench, and perhaps even push for a regular starting role.
