Saudi side Al-Fateh in negotiation to sign Congolese forward Fiston Mayele from Pyramids

Saudi club Al-Fateh has started negotiations with Egyptian club Pyramids FC to sign striker Fiston Mayele.

The Congolese has attracted several interests following his excellent performance in the CAF Champions League, where he played a key role in Pyramids winning the trophy for the first time.

Despite the strong interest from the Saudi club, South African heavyweights Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are both reportedly monitoring the situation closely.

But reports suggest that Mayele is unlikely to move to South Africa, with a transfer to the Gulf region now looking more probable, largely due to the financial incentives available compared to those in Mzansi.

But Pyramids FC have placed a $3 million price tag on Mayele, a fee Al-Fateh reportedly weighing their options.

According to the report, the Saudi outfit has requested that Pyramids lower their asking price for them to sign Mayele, a move that could see them beat both Chiefs and Sundowns to the striker’s signature.
