Saudi pro league makes official bid for Al Ahly star Percy Tau

According to sources, Saudi Arabian club Al-Kholood has submitted a formal offer to Al Ahly for Percy Tau, aiming to finalize the deal as swiftly as possible. Al-Kholood, recently promoted to the Saudi Pro League for the 2024/25 season, is looking to bolster its squad ahead of the new campaign.

Al-Kholood finished third in the Saudi First Division League with 62 points, just behind leaders Al-Qadsiah and second-placed Al-Orobah.

The club’s ambition to strengthen its lineup has led to the pursuit of Tau, who has been a key player for Al Ahly since his arrival in 2021.

Percy Tau, 30, has made 107 appearances for Al Ahly across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 13 assists.

His performance has been pivotal in Al Ahly’s successes over the past few seasons, making him an attractive prospect for the Saudi side.

Al Ahly is currently preparing for their upcoming clash against Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League for the 2023/24 season.

The much-anticipated match is scheduled for Tuesday, at 7:00 PM Cairo and Mecca time.

The fixture will take place at the Cairo International Stadium as part of the 27th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
