Saudi outfit Al-Taawoun complete signing of Morocco U-20 World Cup winner Younes Bahraoui
Saudi Pro League side Al-Taawoun have officially confirmed the signing of highly-rated Moroccan forward Younes Bahraoui from Kawkab Marrakech, securing the services of one of Morocco’s brightest young attacking talents ahead of the new season.
The transfer forms part of Al-Taawoun’s strategy to strengthen their squad with young, ambitious players capable of making an immediate impact while developing into key figures for the future. Club officials believe Bahraoui has the quality and potential to add a new dimension to their attacking department as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
At just 21 years old, Bahraoui has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in Moroccan football. Although naturally a centre-forward, his versatility allows him to operate comfortably as a second striker or on the left flank, giving his coaches multiple tactical options.
The youngster is widely admired for his pace, intelligent movement, technical ability, and clinical finishing in front of goal. His work rate and ability to create chances both for himself and his teammates have also made him one of the standout young attackers in the Moroccan domestic league.
Bahraoui is a product of the renowned Kawkab Marrakech academy, where he progressed through the youth ranks before earning promotion to the club’s senior team. His impressive performances quickly established him as one of the club’s key players and attracted interest from teams outside Morocco.
His rapid rise also earned him recognition at international level, with Bahraoui becoming an important member of the Morocco U-20 national team that captured the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup title. His contributions during the tournament further enhanced his reputation and cemented his status as one of the country’s most promising young footballers.
The move to Saudi Arabia marks the biggest step of Bahraoui’s career so far and presents him with the opportunity to test himself in one of the fastest-growing leagues in world football. The Saudi Pro League has increasingly become an attractive destination for emerging African talents, offering greater exposure and a higher level of competition.
For Al-Taawoun, the acquisition reflects the club’s long-term vision of blending experienced players with gifted youngsters capable of developing into future stars. The club’s hierarchy is confident Bahraoui possesses the talent, determination, and ambition to thrive in Saudi football and become an important player in their pursuit of success next season.
With pre-season preparations underway, all eyes will be on the Moroccan forward as he begins a new chapter in his career, hoping to translate his immense potential into consistent performances in Al-Taawoun colours.
