Mohamed Salah looks set to bring his decade-long spell at Liverpool to a close, with interest from Saudi Arabian sides and MLS teams ramping up ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Egyptian winger, 33, has struggled to hit the prolific heights that made him a Reds legend, netting six goals and assisting six more across 25 appearances this season.
His future at Anfield appears increasingly uncertain, fuelling speculation over a high-profile move abroad.
Reports have linked Salah with a switch to Al-Ittihad, where negotiations are said to have already begun.
Sources suggest the deal could dramatically increase his wages, potentially tripling his current £400,000-a-week Liverpool salary, making the Saudi Pro League an attractive option.
Meanwhile, MLS clubs are also reported to be monitoring Salah’s situation, offering another pathway similar to that taken by Lionel Messi in the United States.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Saudi sides “will be back for Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window,” noting Al-Ittihad as one of several interested clubs.
He added, “There could be more Saudi clubs attentive and keen on Mohamed Salah… Let’s see also from the MLS if some club decided to enter the conversation and sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.”
Romano cautioned that, so far, no concrete offers have materialised, but indicated the situation could change once the summer market opens.
For Liverpool, a departure would free significant resources, allowing the club to invest in a new winger capable of filling Salah’s role.
While the Reds are expected to strengthen their squad, the Egyptian’s exit would mark the end of an era defined by exceptional goalscoring, creative brilliance, and a legacy as one of the Premier League’s most influential attackers.
